Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) has, by this or another name, been around a while. The popularity and hype around SOA has been raised to a fever pitch. Join the members and guests of the AITP ( Association of Information Technology Professionals ) to understand what SOA is in terms we all can understand, the benefits of SOA and where your organization may be in terms of SOA maturity. The program will explore how an organization gets into SOA, some examples of how SOA Architectures have been implemented and outline the anticipated return on an organization’s investment.
WellPoint, Inc. is a large, U.S. based health insurance company and the largest member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Janet leads the Wellpoint Enterprise Integration Services team, and is a thought leader in this space. Mrs. Hunter is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia. She has been working in Information Technology arena for over 20 years. Janet has been with Wellpoint for over 17 years.
Scott & Stringfellow operates as a full-service regional brokerage and investment banking firm serving individual, institutional, corporate, and municipal clients. Bob specializes in solving complex system integration problems for clients and in helping them select and define tools, processes, methodologies, and architecture. Bob is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has been working in Information Technology for almost 12 years.
Kevin Smith provides strategic technology leadership to ManTech and enterprise architecture guidance to many projects. He is author of the following books:
